Methodology & Official Sources
Canada - Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
Scores follow the CRS criteria published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC): core human capital factors, spouse or common-law partner factors, skill transferability (capped at 100) and additional points (capped at 600), for a maximum of 1,200. Since 25 March 2025 a job offer (arranged employment) no longer awards CRS points, and our calculator reflects this.
Language results are converted to Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) using the IRCC equivalency chart for IELTS General Training and CELPIP-General (CELPIP level = CLB level).
Canada - Federal Skilled Worker 67-point grid
The FSW selection grid (language, education, experience, age, arranged employment, adaptability; pass mark 67/100) is applied as published by IRCC.
Australia - SkillSelect points test
Points follow the Department of Home Affairs points table for the Skilled Independent (189), Skilled Nominated (190) and Skilled Work Regional (491) visas. The pass mark is 65; invitation scores are usually higher and vary by occupation.
United Kingdom - Skilled Worker visa
The Skilled Worker route requires 70 points: 50 mandatory (sponsored job offer, job at the required skill level, English language) and 20 tradeable points, usually from salary. Thresholds used: general threshold £41,700 and reduced threshold £33,400, effective 22 July 2025.
